Well, last time I posted was at the beginning of summer. Now it is over. The last blog said we put in the boat lifts at Fish Lake. This blog says we took them out yesterday. This blog also states that there will be two parts to my summer recap, and this is part 1.
After the last blog post, it was about a month of summer vacation at home. Then I went to UPBC for Adventure 13, and at the same time Mom and Megan went up with a few friends for Girls Camp. Adventure 13 was very fun and tiring and included hiking, mountain biking, and seeing sights that were very cool. I lost my retainer that Wednesday and still am waiting for a new one. One or two kids went to the hospital for injuries that included a badly sprained ankle and a nearly dislocated knee. After Adventure 13 I went straight into my last week of going to Boys Camp. I decided to do riflery and challenge course activities. We did CTF almost every day and on Wednesday we prepared for the day away. Most of the cabins went on the hiking trip (A.K.A the trip that is barely a mile of hiking) but my cabin canoed against the waves across Lake Au Train and then spent another four hours canoeing down Au Train river. Along the way a friend of mine stole my giant cookie i was slowly eating as my only food until 8:00 PM. Dinner was okay, but I cracked a frozen hot dog before I could cook it. The message from our speaker every day was very good, and it kept me awake during chapel.
Hey Cavan....(will try this yet again and see if it gets posted). You had a wonderful summer at camp and I'm sure made many great memories. Very fortunate to be able to spend that much time at UPBC. Keep the posts coming.

I can't believe someone stole your cookie!!! That is NOT nice. You must have been really hungry to try a frozen hot dog. I am glad the speaker was so good and also glad that you didn't injure yourself.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear more about A13!
