What to Blog About?

Once upon a time, in the United States of America, there was a boy called Cavan (he liked all sorts of things, including blogging about himself, read about this on front page of blog). Anyway, he blogged. And sometimes he forgot to for a month or two. Imagine you are on a helicopter and are soaring through gigantic letters. Then you look back and see it spells his name. And you think, "what has this got to do with the blog I am reading?"

It has nothing to do with it. Just like basset hounds are not in any way related to parrots except for the fact they are animals. Anyway, words like flibbajibba and frindle and even my name don't register as words and they have that annoying red line underneath them. What if you broke into a world of imagination and you could fix words the way you wanted them to be? Would you change it at all? Or would you sit around and do nothing? I would change many words to easier spellings. Like "trash" to "chrash".

And then you are soaring along again, and you say, "what is the point of all this?"

I don't know myself. As there are not many important things going on, like a trip to Mexico or something like that. Blogging is just harder and harder. I almost want to stop blogging until July.
Well, if this seems like a worthwhile blog to you, thanks.

Ways We Say Things

Sorry I have not blogged in a while. Anyway, for this whole blog post, I will be typing "rilly" instead of "really" because people like to say it like "rilly" because it is easier.

Kind of like my other blog, Words&Numbers, this one will talk about how we don't usually think much about words. Would you understand a person well if they rilly emphasized the "n" in the words "think" and "thing"? Or if they said the "y" in "they"? Of course, the English language was not made like that. But would you criticize them, or say "What?" because it sounded like "they-ya"? Here is a phrase with some words different:

Ide rilly like too ride on u roller coastr.

Do not read the next sentence until you have read the phrase above.
Did you understand that phrase? It was supposed to say "I'd really like to ride on a roller coaster." However, people like to say "a" like "uh" because it is easier and faster. Does that sound like a character trait all people have? It's called laziness. Not laziness like sitting around the couch all day and eating chips and watching television. But word laziness. Now, it rilly is not a bad thing, but you would be so much more understandable if you said it correctly.

Most people (actually, almost all who speak English) say the "e" in the word "red". (Oh, and please try and say "the" with the "e" sounding like "E" and not "uh".) But, what if you took the way that "e" sounds in "red" and used that sound in the word "her"? It would sound pretty weird, right? Well, try experimenting with it. As something to do.

Thanks! I hope you all rilly liked this blog!
